Welcome to the web site of our parish. In these pages you will find a glimpse of the very active life that is our church community.

We serve Wanstead, a settled community in East London and a place with a great variety of people young and old, single and families. We hope all find a welcome with us as we seek to discover the life to which God calls us.

Our worship is traditional in style, centred on the celebration of the Eucharist within two contrasting buildings. Our active Nursery Church and Sunday School provision ensures that there is a place for all in our worship.

Ours is a parish where all who seek to explore what it means to believe are welcome as we build a community that includes all God's people.

Beyond this, ours is a parish where we enjoy each other's company with an active social life.

Maundy Thursday 8pm Eucharist of the Last Supper with washing of feet, stripping of the altar followed by the vigil through the night at Christ Church.

Easter Day

5.30am Mass of the Dawn with the lighting of the new fire and renewal of Baptismal vows at Christ Church followed by breakfast in the parish hall.

8am Holy Communion at Christ Church

9.30am Sung Eucharist at Christ Church

11am Sung Eucharist at St. Mary's

6.30pm Evensong at Christ Church.

27th April 10am Joint Eucharist followed by Annual Parochial Meeting in Christ Church at 11.45am

3pm St. George's day parade service
