The “Friends of St. Mary with Christ Church” is a lively social organisation which raises money for the repair and maintenance of our two listed churches whilst ensuring a good time is had by all who attend its events.

Mothers' Union

Mary Sumner started the Mothers’ Union in England in 1876. It now has more than one million members in 70 countries. It is the largest voluntary world-wide women’s organisation with 122,000 members in the UK alone.

Gardening Club

Over the last ten years, the Gardening Club has grown into a dedicated team of volunteers committed to maintaining the Church garden for the benefit and beauty of the Parish and community of Wanstead, building on the success of the late John Weaver.

Little Angels

Little Angels is the church's playgroup and is held every Friday afternoon during term-time from 1.30pm to 3pm in the hall next to Christ Church.
