A Christmas Cracker

Plans are well underway for the Christmas Cracker event to be held on Saturday 2nd December in the parish hall, which is once again being supported by Petty Son  & Prestwich.

The theme for the fancy dress will be Pantomime Character and is open to all! It will be judged at 11.45 on the day.

The three tombolas will be chocolate, toys and traditional. We’d love to have contributions and if anyone would like to help on the day please get in touch with Sue or Sarah by leaving a message at the Parish Office.

Father Christmas will be telling stories, having arrived on a Harley Davidson. The Harley will be available, for a small fee, for you to sit on and take a photo – no, not available for a ride!!

There will be stalls to buy those last minute and special Christmas presents, and Miles will be manning his popular homemade cake stall.

Our Churchwarden, Sue, will be providing live music from her pupils, who will be pleased to have the opportunity to play to an audience.

Various games will be there, such as “where did Father Christmas go on Holiday?” and there will be a craft table for the youngsters.

Barbara and family will be in charge of coffee, non alcoholic drinks and mince pies.

Hog roast tickets will be on sale before the event. Last time we had a hog roast, the tickets sold out very quickly, so don’t delay in buying your tickets.

Sue Oldham had previously requested squares for a Linus quilt – many thanks to those who have completed squares, so far over 30 squares have been handed in. The quilts will be ready for display at the Christmas Cracker – below are some examples already made up by Sue and a friend.
